Swiss broadcaster deals direct PDF Print E-mail

After months of uncertainty since Vericast's break with former sales partner Somerdata, the first signs of a brighter future are now becoming evident.

Swiss broadcaster SRG - a user of Vericast software via a Somerdata DabStor sale - contacted Vericast directly with a serious issue :- since increasing their total number of services in one DAB multiplex to 17, their ETI Monitoring solution had been unable to perform its primary role. ETI Monitor was crashing when presented with 17 services to analyse...

The 16 service limit of ETI Monitor (up to version 3.1) had in fact already been identified and fixed by Vericast back in March. SRG, like other ETI Monitor customers, were not aware of the fault - nor the fix.

SRG elected to put the software under a new extended warranty, thereby gaining access to the fix. SRG thereby became Vericast's first direct customer for the sale of broadcast equipment and related services.
